Nicotiana Alata

A much-loved bedding plant for over a century, Nicotiana alata bears abundant trumpet-shaped white flowers all the way from June until the first frosts. These elegant blooms have a sweet perfume which intensifies in the evening, making tobacco plant a perfect choice for planting in pots or beds around patios and seating areas where the heady scent can be enjoyed to the full. Tobacco flowers are held in clusters on tall, robust stems and make a great cut flower, with picking prolonging the flowering season.
