At Cheap Plants Store, we nurture every plant with care before shipping, but we understand that sometimes your green companions might not arrive in perfect condition. Just as we carefully prune our trees, we’ve designed this policy to help your return experience grow smoothly.
Our 15-Day Rooting Guarantee
We offer a 15-day return window from the date of delivery for most items. Like transplanting a young sapling, we want to give your plants time to settle while ensuring you have ample opportunity to inspect them.
What Can Be Returned
Our guarantee covers:
- Plants that arrive damaged or diseased (please include photos)
- Incorrect varieties delivered (we know your apple tree should never be a pear!)
- Unopened, unused gardening accessories (barrows, trolleys, etc.)
Non-Returnable Items
Some of our living products require special consideration:
- Annual Plants & Flowers: These seasonal beauties (including Annual Flowering Bedding, Basket & Container Annuals) have limited lifespans
- Cut Flower Annuals: As perishable items, these cannot be returned once shipped
- Custom or special orders of fruit trees and exotic varieties
Note: All plants must be returned in their original packaging with root systems intact for inspection.
How to Prune Your Return
- Contact our Horticultural Team within 15 days of delivery at [email protected] with your order number and photos of any issues
- Complete our Return Form (template below) and include it with your return
- Package securely using the original container when possible – think of it as repotting for travel
- Ship back using a tracked service (we recommend DHL/FedEx for speed)

Refund Process: How Your Money Grows Back
Once we receive and inspect your return:
- Timing: Refunds process within 5-7 business days after approval
- Method: Funds will return to your original payment type (Visa, MasterCard, etc.)
- Shipping Costs: Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is our error
Note: PayPal refunds may take 1-2 additional days to appear in your account.
Exchange Policy: Transplanting Your Order
Prefer a different variety? We’ll happily exchange most plants within 30 days:
- Follow the standard return process above
- Indicate your preferred replacement in the return form
- We’ll ship the new item once we process your return (additional shipping may apply)
Special Care for International Gardeners
For customers outside the UK:
- You’re responsible for return shipping costs and any customs fees
- Phytosanitary certificates cannot be refunded
- EMS returns typically take 3-4 weeks to reach us
